Value Statement

We aspire to these values:

  • Stewardship & Service

    • We responsibly care for the historical resources that have been entrusted to us, by maintaining and sustaining the beautiful Historical Highlandlake Church established in 1896 and the Historic Pioneer Cemetery that was established in 1878.

  • Innovation & Resourcefulness

    • We continually seek fresh ways to meet our mission of connecting people to history of the area.

    • We act in with fiduciary responsibilities at all time for the sole benefit and interest of supporting our mission to the Church, Cemetery and Community.

  • Integrity

    • We communicate with honesty, exhibit integrity, respect, openness and transparency.

Vision statement

HHCI promotes educational and community outreach with preserving the past, informing the present and promoting the Highlandlake area and the Mead’s shared legacy for future generations.

In order to achieve this vision…

  • We own and maintain the Historical Highlandlake Church Building and the Historic Highlandlake Pioneer Cemetery.

  • We partner with SVSD in an educational program to connect Mead Elementary 2nd graders to the History of Highlandlake - helping young people appreciate the history of the area.

  • We strive to acknowledge our significant and vital network of supporters, public officials, members, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and others, who work to expand HHCI's impact and strengthen HHCI for future generations.
