Children’s Memorial Pathway

 

For many years members of Historic Highlandlake Church, Inc. (HHCI) had dreamed of providing a special place for the many children buried in Potter’s Field.  There are several infants and young children buried in unmarked graves in the Historic Highlandlake Pioneer Cemetery, nearly all of them resting in Potter’s Field.

Currently, we have completed the walkway through the Potter’s Field area. The process to install the Children's Memorial Pathway has been completed.  Members of the Mead High School football, the UNC Men's Wrestling Team joined TLPD in laying bricks. Customized bricks form the foundation and memorial benches offer a peaceful resting spot, while you take in the majestic view of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and the stillness this quaint cemetery has to offer.
